About the Organization

The Eating Disorder Center for Children and Young Adults is tasked with providing specialized eating disorder care for children from school age up to 25 years with severe eating disorder issues in the Gothenburg area.

We have a mission within National Highly Specialized Care (NHV), which means our inpatient departments receive patients from all over the country.

The Eating Disorder Center consists of outpatient services, day care, and inpatient departments. We conduct research related to the target group and work with digital development regarding support and treatment programs.

The eating disorder clinic consists of a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, specialist psychologists, doctors, family therapists, psychotherapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and administrators.

We are an organization that actively works on development and evaluation of our various treatment methods to stay at the forefront of specialized care. We also have external supervision.

We are now looking for a specialist psychologist/certified psychologist with experience in psychological treatment work with children and families.

Job Responsibilities

The current position is aimed at treating children with primary eating disorder issues and other serious comorbidities that affect treatment outcomes.

The main treatment method you will use is Family-Based Therapy (FBT) specifically targeted at eating disorders, where the focus is on working with the entire family in treatment and in a change process. In addition, you will also work with CBT targeted at eating disorders (CBT-E/CBT-E U). The work is done in a team with colleagues from various professional categories.

Qualifications

We see that you are a specialist psychologist/psychologist with experience in clinical treatment work with children and adolescents; if you also have experience in assessment, we consider that an advantage. You see it as a given to work with a family focus. Since our mission is to treat eating disorders, it is advantageous if you have experience in eating disorder treatment and family therapy, but if not, we can offer relevant training.
